Shoe laces

I bought some shoes laces for the first time in centuries.

They're not easy to find, and when you do there's not much selection.

Because shoe laces never wear out, although the ends can get frayed; usually, we just chuck the shoes.

But my laces were gordianknotted. And they were too long because I don't lace them up the way you're supposed to.

My new ones are perfect, although they make my tennis shoes look as decrepit as they are.

For a hundred dollars I could have bought a halfway decent pair of shoes.
