Dreaming with Randy
A couple of weeks ago, I said I know too many people who are battling cancer.
Although this is true, I left out a prep school roommate, whom I haven't seen in ages, and a friend whose chief worry, I would like to think, since he loves to read, is his failing vision.
I make this correction only because I watched The Last Lecture over the weekend.
With all due respect, I found it a bit virtually real. Feel-good and exhortatory and not quite as dimensional and messy as it might have been.
I did like one sententious admonition—"Don't Bail: The best gold is at the bottom of the barrel of crap."
Reminded me of the slush pile.
