ZYZZYVA was founded in San Francisco in 1985. It is published on paper three times a year; the current issue, Spring, is the 82nd. The editor, Howard Junker, was born in Port Washington, NY, a town on Long Island that Fitzgerald called East Egg in The Great Gatsby. Junker lives in San Francisco with his wife and their daughter, a junior in college in Washington, D.C.
